PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers on these projects will be based with ACE California in Santa Cruz
Project Overview
ACE California tackles several types of conservation and resource management projects. We partner with different land management agencies including the National Park Service, the US Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, County and State Parks, Conservancies, Fire Safe Councils, Land Trusts, and other organizations with the common goal of conservation and resource management. This is a broad field and encompasses many project types, methods, and techniques. We happily branch out into new fields, but our projects primarily deal with Trail Maintenance and Construction, Ecological Rehabilitation and Restoration, and Fuels Reduction and Forest Health. Our projects range all over California and sometimes take us out of state. We work in coastal habitats, alpine environments, desert regions, and everything in-between.
