September 10 2016 | 900 hour Corpsmember Professional Development Position w Chainsaw Training

900 hour AmeriCorps Members will spend 12 weeks in the great outdoors serving on a variety of ACE projects while gaining valuable skills and growing both personally and professionally. ACE will provide the opportunity to travel, camp, and work throughout the vast and beautiful American Southwest in locations such as Grand Canyon National Park, Imperial National Wildlife Refuge, and Cibola National Wildlife Refuge, to name a few. Corps Members will have the chance to immerse themselves in a wide array of projects during their term of service, which may include: trail construction and maintenance, invasive species removal, fence construction and maintenance, habitat restoration, fuels reduction, erosion control, wildlife or botanical surveys, and more. Participants will be surrounded by an enthusiastic ACE staff who is dedicated to the safety and development of our Corps Members. AmeriCorps members joining this position will receive a $512 biweekly stipend, and those who successfully complete their term of service will receive an Education Award of $2,865.
