Washington DC, February 8 – 11, 2015.

Over the last 10 years, ACE has been fortunate to have developed an amazing and ever-growing list of partners and affiliates. This week we would like to showcase our relationship with our partners and our place in The Corps Network.

ACE’s success is due in part to our supportive and generous partners, and in recognition of this we currently have a delegation of key staff and a board member representing ACE at The Corps Networks National Conference in Washington D.C. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Tackling America’s Greatest Challenges’ and in attendance are national, state, and local leaders in the fields of youth development, community service, and the environment. Attendees include approximately 200 Directors and senior staff from Service and Conservation Corps across the country; officials from Federal agencies; representatives from philanthropic foundations; and friends and supporters of the Corps movement. Joining these attendees are ACE founder and President Chris Baker, Board Member Brad Bippus, and ACE staff from around the country.

The Corps Network.

With over 100 members that operate across all of the United States and the District of Columbia, The Corps Network is a leader in our nation’s corps movement.

The Corps Network enrolls over 26,000 corps members annually, supporting youth and young adults by connecting them with a national network of Corps programs to foster education through a service-learning environment. Encouraging innovation, developing strategies in youth and young adult development, and resource conservation are among the many goals of The Corps Network.

This overall mission of The Corps Network is to “Provide critical leadership to the Corps movement and to our nation’s Service and Conservation Corps as they harness the power of youth and young adults to tackle some of America’s greatest challenges and transform their own lives.”

This mission, as well as the principles of The Corps Network, serve as a guide for American Conservation Experience as we stand in solidarity with our partner to “strengthen America through Service and Conservation”. We plan to share further details of the conference’s findings once our colleagues return.

ACE is proud to be a member of The Corps Network. For more information on The Corps Network please visit their website at: www.corpsnetwork.org.
