A new ACE Learns is coming up! This time, we`re chatting with Annie Scharf and Kyle Ellison 🎙ï¸
Kyle, an ACE EPIC NPS Project Coordinator, will give an inside look at the National Park Service`s Traditional Trades Advancement Program (TTAP) and the hands-on experience members gain in historic preservation. Annie, a TTAP alum, will share her journey from a Historic Preservation Apprenticeship at Rock Creek Park to her current role as caretaker and groundskeeper of Ridgeway House, a federal-style historic landmark in Louisville.

A new ACE Learns is coming up! This time, we`re chatting with Cadence Truchot 🎙ï¸
Cadence is a Tribal Community Engagement Coordinator with Grand Teton National Park, serving through ACE`s EPIC Program. A Lemhi Shoshone woman with a background in anthropology, she works to strengthen connections between tribal youth, communities, and their ancestral lands within the park.
She`ll talk through how tribal partners help guide storytelling, leadership, and mentorship, and reflect on what it takes to build lasting relationships between tribal nations and the National Park Service.

Jake Johnson is an ACE EPIC member serving as a Water Resources Member with the Bureau of Land Management.
Jake spends his days on the Virgin River doing work most people never think about — seining for native fish like the Virgin River Chub and Woundfin, tracking harmful algal blooms, running rotenone treatments on invasive species, helping adjudicate water rights that keep this whole system functioning.
As a Water Resources Member with ACE EPIC, placed with the BLM`s Color Country District Office, Jake`s living out something we believe: conservation isn`t a solo sport. His work pulls in the U.S. Forest Service, Utah DNR, The Nature Conservancy, BYU, and Southern Utah University — agencies and institutions that don`t always end up in the same room.
In his words: "The challenges facing our public lands and natural resources are far too large and complex for any one agency to address alone."
