Flagstaff, AZ – December 13, 2023 –
American Conservation Experience announced today the departure of Chief Program Officer Rafael Rosa who served on the organization’s executive leadership team for the past three and a half years.

“We thank Rafael for his many contributions to ACE and wish him the best in his new leadership role,” said ACE President and CEO Laura Herrin. “At ACE, we are dedicated to advancing the professional development of our staff and members and I’m excited that Rafael has the opportunity to lead his own organization in his local community”

Rosa will serve as the Executive Director of the Lincoln Park Conservancy in Chicago, where Rosa resides with his family. ACE will hold a national search to fill the position vacancy in early 2024.

Commemorating its 20th anniversary, ACE has grown to become one of the nation’s largest conservation corps in recruiting, training and mobilizing young adults to serve in service projects in all fifty states and several territories. ACE works with over 1,000 volunteers annually who serve in national and state parks, wildlife refuges, local communities, and more to preserve and protect public lands.
