Alumni Ambassador Program
 This program elevates Alumni experiences to a wider audience and helps to recruit the next generation of conservationists. ACE Alumni Ambassadors utilize their personal and professional connections to expand ACE’s story and influence.
This volunteer opportunity is intended to benefit ACE Alumni by providing further mentorship and professional development, while developing skills to pursue personal and professional goals.  ACE Alumni Ambassadors will serve in a voluntary six-month commitment (with possibility of extension).Â

“After finishing, I’ll reflect on the best times I’ve had working at El Yunque National Forest. There are plenty of hard days here, but the most gratifying parts are the days working as a team with some of the best people and work environment I’ve had the privilege to be a part of.â€
Cultural preservation work is conservation work 🌾
Our Eastern crew at Flint Hills National Wildlife Refuge is doing habitat work and partnered with the Wichita Tribe on a cultural preservation initiative, preparing and binding native grass for traditional thatched grass houses.
It’s a great example of our work reaching beyond the project itself to support the communities and partners connected to these landscapes.

Hello Logan Reabuck! Logan`s an ACE member working with the Traditional Trades Advancement Program (TTAP) at Andrew Johnson National Historic Site 🇺🇸
Logan`s part of a Maintenance Action Team rehabilitating the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery, from installing lightning protection on historic witness trees to headstone care and grounds maintenance. As a veteran himself, the work carries extra weight.
"As a veteran, being around other vets and their spouses means a little more to me. And what I do, I like preserving history. That`s why I`m here. And that`s, I think, my purpose."
Logan`s working toward a bachelor`s in history and hopes to build a career with the @nationalparkservice. "I`ve learned so much that I`ll take with me everywhere I go."

A new ACE Learns is coming up! This time, we`re chatting with Annie Scharf and Kyle Ellison 🎙ï¸
Kyle, an ACE EPIC NPS Project Coordinator, will give an inside look at the National Park Service`s Traditional Trades Advancement Program (TTAP) and the hands-on experience members gain in historic preservation. Annie, a TTAP alum, will share her journey from a Historic Preservation Apprenticeship at Rock Creek Park to her current role as caretaker and groundskeeper of Ridgeway House, a federal-style historic landmark in Louisville.
